I have 03 Acura TL type S.
Trans started slippin'.
I had a trans diagnostic performed on it whihc returned codes for Clutch Pressure loss and Torque converter issue.
There had been a manufacturer recall on these transmissions for heat-scoring of the 2nd gear, causing possible chips in the gear.
Could a chipped gear or heat-scored 2nd gear cause a loss of clutch-pressure or torque converter issue?

-If its slipping find out what's causing it-could be low and dirty fluid, shifting solenoid, valve body etc-Have the throttle and governor pressure tested

So, the things recommended to check, could also be a cause of the Clutch Pressure Loss and Torque Converter problem?

Please advise, as they are trying to sell me a new trans, based upon these codes - but I also want to get to the cause, to get a real accurate idea of what is causing this.
