The cable appears to have come disconnected in the hood release mechanism - under the hood, not under the dashboard. I've looked (and will continue to look) for some way to get to the latch.
Can you help me?

Thank you, Mock

The grill is removable but you need to be really careful not to break the locking tabs? Once you get the grill off you can unlatch the hood and check the cable.

See the diagrams below for removal of the grille and replacement of the cable

How do I get the locking tabs disconnected from the grill?
With the top of the grill partly disconnected and pryed back I can only see the secondary latch assembly.
Where is the primary latch/cable assembly located?
Thank you, Mock

The main latch is on the left side of the car (drivers side) then from there you have a second cable that runs across to the right side latch. You need a bone tool and pocket screw driver to release the tabs on the grill. Once you get a couple of them undone the rest should start to come out easier. Once the grill is out under the latch where the cables attach you can manually pry on them to release the latch. I know it is very hard to explain and unless you have done this a few times it is really hard to see what you are looking for? So I hope this makes sense? Let me know if you this helps?
