2002 Volkswagen Passat Passat 4C

After driving about five miles the EPC fault light comes on, the tec goes to zero and comes back or starts up again. After this I notice a higher rpm and a little less power. The last time this happened the car stalled out and I could not restart. After a few hours it started right up. How do I fix this problem?

EPC stands for Electronic Pedal Control. There could be several things causing the light to come on. I recommend that you have the vehicle computer scanned to determine what trouble code is stored that it turning the light on.
