I drive a 2002 Volkswagon Beetle (no turbo). I have to add antifreeze once weekly. I can't figure out where it is going. I don't notice any leaks and my oil is fine. Transmission is sealed. The temperature light is blue when the car is cold then goes off when the car warms up but sometimes it comes back on.

Common coolant leak areas are:

- coolant flange on side of cylinder head
- water pump
- radiator

If the engine has ever had any major overheating, it could be getting burnt & exiting out the
exhaust with out any signs.
