Power steering has gone only when the car is idling, when I give the car rev's the power steering works again. Power steering fluid was low when this happend, I have since topped up the fluid today but the problem still exists. Thanks, Scott

That's a sign of a worn power steering pump. At higher speeds it pumps more fluid and is able to build pressure. Some mechanics have a gauge that can verify that. It has a valve that is momentarily turned off to block fluid flow. If the pressure is still low, it's a weak pump. If the pressure shoots up, there's excessive leakage in the steering gear. Worn seals in the steering gear almost always affects the power assist in only one direction first, then the other direction a few weeks later.
