LOSS OF POWER AND BLACK SMOKE COMING FROM EXHAUST
2002 Renault Espace
Renault espace 2.2dci year 2002. Loss of power and black smoke coming from exhaust
Monday, November 15th, 2010 AT 4:33 PM
Black smoke indicates the fuel mixture is too rich. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked any sensors such as the O2 sensors, temp sensor?

Black smoke (rich) should set an error code in PCM, get codes read, could be a bad sensor like O2, coolant temp, Mass air flow etc.
