I have an 02 Pontiac Grand Am ram air v6. It just died on me one night and never starts back. Now when you turn the key to on all the lights will come on but when you turn the key over to start it, all the lights will go dim. I had someone come put a tester on it but it would only go halfway and said error. It also keeps running my battery dead when the car hasn't even been started or fooled with. I need help.

Oh yea we also tried to cross wire the starter but it would only set and crank and not start. Figured it would help.

It sounds like the first thing you need to test is the battery itself.
