Is there away that you can possibly reset the ecu/ecm?I heard that you can reset it to factory settings and I was wondering how would I be able to do it and if so if it would reset the miles on the dashboard

The mileage in meter cluster would not be rest if the ECU is reset. Resetting the odometer requires special equipments and/or process.

When battery is disconnected for prolonged preiods, the ECU would reset to factory settings. Likewise if trouble codes are present, a scan tool would be able to do that as well.
