why is my car so hot at the clutch pedal? I've tried changing the settings on the heater and it doesnt make an awful lot of difference.

Check for air leaks in the heater air ducts. Ensure the heat shields under vehicle are good and engine is not misfiring as this can result in catalytic converter glowing red hot.
