I have a 2002 mitsibishi eclipse gs. After hitting a pothole every little bump makes the car make rattling and banging noises and the steering is affected badly. Any ideas what things it could be causing this?

You could have a number of problems, ball joints, tie rod ends, bad a- arm bushings, struts. The best thing to do is take it in and have a full front end inspection done, you can usaully get this done for a reasonable price, its just to hard to tell over the computer whats going on.
