Ran codes awhile back when check engine soon light came on and said cyl 5 misfiring. Changed plugs, wires, and oil and filter. Light went off for a few days then returned. Recently light began blinking. Then engine started making knocking sound and had no power. Ran codes tonight and it read many codes I'm looking up, but also said problems with computer, egr, O2 sensor among others All gauges read fine, as well as system check. It is leaking oil bad (neighbor borrowed it and put 5 extra quarts of oil in it. I had it drained the next day and put new oil in. Could the over filing of oil have caused all this (it wasonly in less than 1 day), or maybe computer is bad and causing other issues?

Check battery for condition including load test as a bad battery will throw codes that aren't there. Overfilling on oil isn't good but also checkcompresson because I think there is another issue. Misfires are very hard to diagnose because it cn be any sensor, injector as well as basic engine problems. Autoparts do batteries for free checking them

Thank you, I will take battery to test it but just replaced it in the last 6 months or so.
