I purchased a 2002 mercury mountaineer tax time last year has been running great up until about 5 months ago I started having transmission problems and now I am having engine issues I have it in and out of the shop 3 times since the first day I purchased it even took it to the dealer where I bought it they charged me $700.00 said it was fixed went to go pick it up and its running worse now than it was before please help I used to be a mechanic but I dont have the time or money to fix it myself

You need to repost this so the other experts will get a chance to see it and respond. PLEASE put some punctuation in that huge sentence. Normally they can be read at least three different ways, but here I don't know where to start. You haven't included a single useful piece of information to help in the diagnosis. What are the symptoms? What is the transmission doing wrong or not doing? What has been checked or tried? Has anyone given you a diagnosis already? Has anyone checked for diagnostic fault codes? How would YOU reply if you read this and wanted to post a useful answer?
