2002 Mercedes Benz SLK230 interior lights

Interior light will come on when manually pushed, will not come on when you open the doors, outside lights will not stay on after you shut the door, locks will not work
we took the pse out of truck, you could hear the motor working when I move the pse around

I've seen this often and almost every time it is the switch in the driver door latch. This switch triggers the headlights to stay on and the interior light to switch on. Some Mercedes have a switch sometime on the over head console that gives you the option to have the interior lights to come on with opening the door, so check that to make sure it is in the on position.

Check the Pse for water intrusion. When water enters the PSE is damages and corrodes the circuit board inside.
