My 2002 mercedes benz c240 6cyl auto trans is displaying an ABS, ESP, BAS, system malfunction lights saying to visit the workshop. Are these all related to the abs brake module? Before I invest in one has anyone encountered this problem before and how do I cure it?

Best to have shop use scan tool to diagnose before replacing expensive parts

If you had the cv shaft replaced then they used the wrong one. The tone ring should be smooth. If they put one in with a groved ring then replace that. The numbers are only one didgit off. Mercedes couldnt even figure that out for me.

I had the same problem I was driving and a red light and battery pic showed in the display and said batter/ alternator visit workshop. I drove home it was fine. Next morning I started the car same warning showed up I was going to drive to the repair shop I got to the end of the driveway when all of a sudden my transmission would not shift my windows wouldn't go up and every light was blinking in the display ESP, bas, abs, and a srs or whatever the last one was, had to have it towed to shop, long story short the regulator was stuck in the alternator and was over charging the battery's so I had to get a new battery and alternator! Real pain now I know why I only buy Chevrolet! But I had to have the Benz! Nightmare!
