Was driving home yesterday when I noticed a malfunction icon on my console. Elect. Stabil. Prog. ESP. My car is a mercedes benz C180, 2002 model. On starting the vehicle this morning, it was not there. But later pop up again on my way to church and has been there all day. What do I do please.

Based on your information, it sounds like there is a problem with the electronic stability control unit. What you have to do is have the computer scanned to determine what trouble codes are stored. From the trouble codes, you can narrow down what is causing the problem. Have the computer scanned and let me know what you find. Many of the nationally recognized parts stores will scan it for free.
