I tried to start my car it would not start there was water in my spark plugs on my mazda 2002 626 what could be the problem?

You found water or coolant?Coolant would mean a cracked head or blown head gasket. Fresh water would be standing water sucked in thru your intake tube.

Before you worry about just replacing the head gasket you have to take the head in to be pressure tested for leaks cracks and warpage. Also you will also have to inspect the engine block for cracks and warpage where the head meets block. What size engine do you have?

You will need a top engine kit head gasket exhaust intake Gasket etc. Also coolant oil change parts and I would do a timing belt kit also.
