I have a 02 mazda 626 2.5l with the manual transmission, when I give it a small amount of throttle it sputters, and dies but if I drive it with a "lead foot" it works fine, but under light throttle the problem occurs, if you can help me please, I don't want my son to get in an accident over this problem

No, best you get a scan or a live data rear on a quality scanner to make sure that the TPI is working correctly.

I went to the oreillys near my house and had them hook my car up on the code reader and they said it was my maf sensor but I just replaced it recently, and the weirdest thing just happened I took the air filter out of the air box and left the air box opened up and it ran like a chap for the 2 miles to my house, so I bought a performance temp sensor adaptor and a high flow come filter I also bought a new temp sensor and installed it all and the problems still there it still puzzles me why the problem went away when I opened up the air box, would that be attributed to the throttle position sensor
