2002 Infiniti I35 engine light soon and fuses

Hi. Diagnostics from autozone said a sensor needs depla emdnt. Pep boy said the part. Cozts 469. Seems pricey. Also can I change fuses myself. Is there a way I can test them or leave it to mechanics who ultimately charge me a mortgage payment. Thanks

Testing fuses is a simple job done with a test light or DVOM.

For the repairs, we do not know what component is faulty and you did not provide any trouble codes. Having a trouble code does not necessarily mean a component is bad.
