RE: rear right tail light housing unit replacement. What tools, etc. Do I need to replace a cracked unit? [All lamps/electrics are in working order.] Have ordered housing unit only.
In your opinion, should work best be done by Honda service shop? Could a novice do the repair? [I have little mechanical ability and the cracked unit appears seemlessly attached.]

You should be able to do the work, yourself. I dont have tool sizes for the job. Get you a set of wrenches and sockets, standard and metric sizes. Buying a single wrench or socket isnt feasible, they come cheaper in a set.

Open the hatch and pull back the rear trem panel.
Remove the mounting nut A and B.
Remove the cover C and the two mounting bolts, then remove the taillight.
Turn the bulb sockets D 45 degrees counterclockwise, then remove them from the light.
Install the taillight in the reverse order of removal.
