GMC youkon xl was running great on the road until I put it into reverse to park, it then stopped running. It will idle for a short moment an shutdown. I pull fuel filter an gas pumps when key is turned. I put a new filter on, it still won't start. What can I do?

I would perform a fuel pressure check on the vehicle. Find out what the manufacture reccomends for fuel pressure for that particular vehicle. Normally its around 42lbs. That will determine if you have a weak fuel pump or a bad fuel pressure regulator. Either of those could cause your problem.
