2002 GMC Sierra ExtCab 1500 4wd 5.3L (not flex fuel). Who publishes the best repair manual for this vehicle? I've been burned by repair manuals that miss key steps or just have bad information (like remove two bolts when three needed to be removed) in the past and would like to find the best one for this truck I just purchased.

As far as online info, Mitchel and alldata, you can buy a subscription, for a single vehicle, not too much for a year. Not sure about paper manuals? Used to, in the back of owners manuals, they had an address, where you could buy oem repair manuals. I don't think I've seen databases or manuals that didn't have some errors, just the way it is.

At the acdelco site, you can buy access for a few days, for repair info. The last time I looked, I believe it was 20 bucks for three days access. Haven't looked in a while.
