2002 Ford Focus trouble shooting Ford Focus

Without warning overheated so I pulled to side of road however a bigger issue came up no matter how hard I try I cant budge the gear shift out of park it feels like its cemented in park. Help please

Check to se if your shift interlock is releasing you need to keep foot on brake to get out of park. Then check fuses underhood. The interlock can either be on bottom of steering column or floor shift depending on what you have.
