my 2002 ford explorer is making a knocking noice when i sart it, it also takes a longer time for it to start, and when i drive it goes threw the two gears making that noice, what could it be?

You need to determine if the noise coming from the engine. If it is, make sure the oil is clean and full and not contaminated. If the noise is from the engine, you may have internal bearing damage.
