Fuel problem

Changed feul pump and filter on my 2002 ford focus, it started and ran after, now won't start again. Any suggestions.

Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if okay-check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light.

How to listen or know if the injector/s are they pulsing? What's a noid light? Also I checked the fuel pump relay switch, good. Not sure where the fuel pump fuse is, also how can I check the timing belt? If I'm near the tank and have someone turn on the ignition I should be able to hear the pump, correct?
