Any help appreciated?

I have a fiat punto 02 automatic, and lately it seems to struggle to change gear when it starts up, and it also happens sometimes at traffic lights not good - its fine once im going on motorways etc. Seems to be worse when its wet but that could be a coincidence lol. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Make sure the trans fluid is full and clean. Also, if the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned to determine if there is a fault code from the transmission. If you haven't serviced the transmission for some time, have the fluid checked to see if it is due. You may have a partially plugged filter.
