I have a 2002 dodge durango, and for the first time yesterday it wouldn't start. I put the key in the ignition, turned it to on, and all the lights and gauges worked except the fuel gauge, and the odometer was flashing "no bus". What does that mean, and what could be wrong. I was thinking it could be 1 of 3 things. The chip in the key could be bad, the computer, or the security system is causing the problem. I had to turn it on several times, and it took 45 minutes for it to start. It only started when the fuel gauge worked

The "no bus" indicates that the computer has lost connection with its components. In this case, it sounds like the fuel system. Check the connector at the PCM to make sure the wires are in good condition and there is no corrosion built up where it plugs in.

Let me know what you find.
