Does it restart? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Has the check engine light come on?

Yes the check engine light is on and it does restart.

Okay. The first thing I need you to do is take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. Most will do it for free. Let me know what codes are retrieved.
