fan has made lots of growling noises and now does not work trying to figure out how to remove the fan and motor to replace it

There are two types of blower motor replacement, one requiring th HVAC housing to be removed whilst the other need not.
If yours is the type shown, HVAC housing need not be removed.
If yours is the type shown, HVAC housing need not be removed.
