Fuel system cleaner is not an instant fix, it basically helps keep the system clean and won't do a full fuel system clean out, you may need to get the injectors ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested, your service centre can advise on this procedure, not all work shops are set up to do this, so you may have to ring around and get a few quotes first.

If the lube place just used a bottle of fuel cleaner as i said that would do next to nothing, i would get the tune checked if this has not been done as yet and get a quote for a proper fuel system clean, be it a carbon clean or the ultrasonic clean, these will make a difference, when was the fuel filter last changed?

Just to add to this one did they just add it to the gas tank or run the cleaner thru a pressurized canister that runs the engine instead of the fuel pump? The pressurized canister works great for cleaning. Also you may not have a dirty fuel injector issue could be a ignition issue or something else.Is the problem worse with the ac on?

The canister cleaner is a strong concentrate that doesnt have to pass thru with the gas.It breaks up the deposites on the nozzles.Betime you run a gas tank of fuel thru with the other cleaner it should all be clean. So does it cut when take off from a stop sign?Any other time?

Welcome to 2CarPros,
Very few of those type cleanings work but that does not stop them from telling you that they will. The reason is that the injectors very rarely get dirty inside due to the detergents and solvents in the gas.
You need to have the vehicle scanned to see what the actual code is. There are literally hundreds of monitored systems that can set a code. Many of the chain stores will scan it for free, write the code down and use the link below to post this as a new question along with your specific vehicle information along with any extra information you may have, like it started bucking and the light came on, or you filled the gas tank and the light came on.
That will give us a starting point. Thank you.
