All of a sudden my car gave me the symptoms of a dead battery. Just a click. After a while it started to crank and then fired up. Very often all of the gages drop and it makes a winding noise. And the security light and airbag light ect all come on. It's hard to start and now runs rough once it is turned on. Any idea on what this is? 2002 chevy impala. I replaced the battery and tested the started at autozone.

Check the alternator. Also check the ECM.
