I have a 2002 chevy caviler z24 is it very common for the motors for the windows to go out or could it be the swiches? Are they easy to put in. And how can I check if the junk yard ones work before I get them?

Hold the window switch to go down and bang on the lower door panel. If the motor starts youll need to remove the window regulator to replace the motor. You need to get a reconditioned motor at the parts store not from the boneyard.
