I have 2002 avalanche and I replaced the ignition key module and the cylinder and also have tried the 30 minute reset security for key with no luck. But what is happening with the key off and out the tell taale screen shows the battery a few times then flashes security a few times and keeps going back and forth and has not stoped yet. Did I over look something or is this another problem thank you for your help

It was a broken key in ignition and cylinder would not move so first tried just the lock cylinder but new one also would not rotate so thats why I also replaced the cylinder. Yes I have tried the 3, 10 minutes pass lock relearn 3 times and still no luck but the other thing that it is doing now is truck is off key out and the tell tale thing is still flashing battery and then the security flashes a few times and this has been going for the last 48 hrs and everything is off

You are correct its 5 seconds if the light never stops then you have another issue with the pass lock system go over all your work make sure the sensor is plugged in etc.
