Will the vehicle start and run? Have you tried a different key? Check for applicable trouble codes. To check codes yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader that will read both generic and manufacturer specific codes.

You can try the thirty minute relearn procedure. Turn on the ignition with key off. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to on ( vehicle will not start). Observe the security light, after about ten minutes the security should turn off. Turn off the ignition and wait five seconds. Repeat the above procedures two more times for a total of three cycles/thirty minutes (the vehicle is now ready to relearn the password on the next ignition switch cycle from off to crank).

I have found the best way to reset the system is to open the hood and lock all of the doors. Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes then reconnect the battery. Using the drivers side door unlock it using the key. This should reset the system.

Here is a guide to help as well.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
