2002 BMW 325ci the dash lights went out then the car stoped as thought in isnot geting fuel

Replacing the fuel pump. Stray strator fuel in into intake. Car would start but would not stay started its like it not geting fuel

Could be no fuel pressure due to a failed fuel pump.
