Car won't shift out of park and break lights won't turn on.
I checked the safety switch, fuses and still can't figure out the problem. Trying to see if it's the neutral safety switch. But I can't find where it's located. Please help
Thank you in advance,
AJ

Check that the brake light switch is working first. I can send the interlock electrical schematic if required.

A faulty brake switch would not operate the interlock solenoid to release the parking lever.
If the horn is not working as well, you most probably have a blown fuse underhood.

I changed the brake light switch but still stuck I'm park and no break lights still.
The horn works and I rechecked the fuses.
I'm puzzled and have no clue where to look now. Neutral safety switch, still couldn't find where that is located?
I even took apart the area around the gear shift to make sure nothing was stuck in between like coins.
Thanks so much for all your help in advance

If the brake lights are not working, you need to get them to work first.
At the brake switch, ensure there is battery voltage at the White/Yellow wire. Get a test lamp or DVOM to test.

My 99 acura TL once on drive I cant get it back to park. Like it wont pass neutral. Well today car rpm idle went up but car wasn’t going but if you drive slow it goes but occasionally it will not go. But for a lil I kept feeling as a double jerk when starting to go on drive. Good car nice pulls if it wasn’t for this. Brake lights work.
