Whenever I start my vehicle, often the climate control instrument cluster does not illuminate. This panel includes the fan control ****/dial, auto/manual temperature control, a/c, front & rear defroster, heater. The only buttons that remain active are the driver & front passenger seat warmers (2 separate buttons on the panel). The other controls remain completely inactive often for extended periods of time. Fuses were checked & were a-okay. When I start my vehicle again—perhaps later in the day, ALL panel lights are active and again operational (!). Sometimes when I am driving (with the 'dead' panel), I'll strike a bump in the road and—voila!—The panel (& a/c or fan) comes to life. It's apparent there's a possible loose connection or faulty connector somewhere. Suggestions as to the culprit? It's a bit frustrating not knowing when or if I'll get a/c or heat when I drive.

thanks

I would recommend checking under the dash. There are a couple wiring harnesses that run to that area. My first guess is one is either loose or corroded. Check that and let me know what you find.
