I recently replace the iac ( idle air control valve. On a 2001 Volvo S40. Because the code read back P0507. I follow the instruction given by the mechanic. 1. To reset the code via the scanner, 2. To remove the ecm fuse 3. To disconnect the battery ground terminal. I did all of the steps so but the check engine light is still on. Do you have any suggestion what could be the problem.

Use a scanner to reset the code's instead of pulling fuse's etc you have a obd2 system you need to use the scanner to reset the code's. If you don't live in california go to a auto part's store and have them reset the code. If it doesn't clear that way you have another problem.
