2001 vw passat 4 cyl 1.8l turbo. "STOP" lights up on dash "Brake Fault" ABS light on, ASR light on, car will crank but not start, found brake fluid leaking out of master cylinder reservoir. All warning lights and leak happened at the same time, Does this mean the master cylinder went out? Thanks

Those faults should not cause the engine to not start. Scan for stored fault codes and post them here.

Check if the throttle body opens when you step on the gas pedal, remove intake boot at throttle body and have someone step on
the gas pedal while the key is in the ON position.

If the throttle moves fully open and closed, then you have a fuel or Ignition supply issue. Mechanical timing belt failure is also a
possibility.
