CAR DRIVES FINE IN REVERSE BUT WHEN THE CAR IS PUT INTO DRIVE IT WILL NOT MOVE. I HAVE CHECKED THE FLUID AND ITS OK. I THINK TRANSMISSION IS SHOT. I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK BEFORE I BITE THE BULLET AND PURCHASE A TRANSMISSION

I don't think I would go out and buy a transmission. It has a transmission range sensor and this is what tells the computer what gear you want, if this is bad this may keep it from going into forward gears. Now if you have a digital multi meter and are mechanical we can do some testing, if not then I would go to a trusted shop and have some testing done first.
