I have a 2001 toyota corolla with 100,000 miles on it and it has been buring oil almost for a year now. It also smokes white smoke but only when I first start it up in the morning. It has got so bad that the oil keeps on buring out one of my spark plugs(i have to get the spark plug replaced every couple of months). The car also has some black stuff coming out of the exhaust, it looks like oil but i`m not sure what it is. The black stuff has only started recently after a friend told me to put marvel mystery oil in the engine. Could the mystery oil made the car worst?I have taken the car to many mechanic and they could not tell what is wrong with the car. Please help

I don't thing the additive caused it to get worse. My concern is the white smoke. That usually indicates there is coolant getting into the combustion chamber via a bad head gasket or intake gasket. Have that checked. If you have blue smoke from the exhaust, you should have a compression test done to determine if there is a cylinder low. Most likely, it will be the one that you have to replace the spark plug in all the time.
