I have 2001 Toyota Camary with 4cy. My car needed to be inspected, so the check-engine light was on I replaced the up stream o2 sensor and the light went out. They put it on a scanner and everything checked out fine. They said to drive it so many miles and see if it comes back on?

The check engine is off and there were no codes on the scanner but it will not pass.

I had to drive it 180 miles to clear the code to reset it. I think this is crazy to drive it that many miles wasteing all that gas
