HOW DO YOU EXTRACT BROKEN KEY OR IGNITION CYLINDER FROM CAR?

What about the Airbag when taking off steering wheel? My key broke in ignition. Currently driveable, took to locksmith. They tried and said that there was need to remove cylinder, as a pin was preventing the extraction past the engaged tumbler. The key of course broke at the narrowest part.

I am concerned with how to turn off the air bag, or keep it from blowing up when I am working.

DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM

Ensure front wheels face straight ahead. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove AIR BAG fuse from junction block. . Remove steering wheel left side cap and disconnect Yellow connector of driver-side air bag module.
Pull out glove box while pushing its stopper from both right and left sides and disconnect Yellow connector of passenger-side air bag module.
To activate SIR system, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect driver-side air bag module connector. Connect passenger-side air bag module connector. Install AIR BAG fuse to junction block. Turn ignition switch to ON position and ensure AIR BAG indicator flashes 6 times and then turns off.
