I've only had this car a few months. Love it! About a month into it, it stopped shifting after a trip down the interstate. It feels like its stuck in first and once you hit 15mphs it just reeves up it won't move. Weird twist. After setting in the driveway for a few hours, it worked fine. This has happened three times now. It also starting shifting hard between gears and from reverse into drive is ruff sometimes. Transmission was serviced at 120000 miles. It is also very hot here in missouri and I mainly do city driving. Service engine light is on. Don't have codes but will get them for you asap.

Please get the codes to me the exact code numbers not the code descriptions. As far as the not shifting when hot if you let up on the gas the a little will it shift up to the next gear?If so I would have the exhaust tested for excessive back pressure probably a plugged cat. For the hard shifting probably a bad line pressure control solenoid both are common for that car.

No's when it happens it is first gear only. When you let off the has acts like it tried to shift but then it just reeves

I would still have the back pressure tested on the exhaust when the cat gets really clogged those cars dont like to shift. Also get me those codes your car has.
