2001 Pontiac Montana my heat blows cold unless i have defrost on then warm air comes out

when i turn on my heat it blows cold but, when i turn it to defrost it blows warm

I really appreciate the info but is the air blend and mode doors and actuators behind the dash also.

They all behind the dash-it can get super complicated if you haven't done such a thing-best just bring her in-
