2001 Grand Am Traction control

When it is hot & humid out mainly. My traction control turns itself off, the car will then idle low if not stall, and shifts really hard. It will reset itself after turning the car off. Bt will repeat it again and then service vehicle soon light comes on. Got the code PO122 when hook to the computer. Can someone please help me and tell me what is wrong with my car. Thank you

That code is specific to the throttle position sensor, which can affect traction control, I would suspect faulty throttle position sensor.
