Describe your problem. When it is cold the car try, s to start but wont. Does the 2001 pontiac grand am have a cold starting sensor I was told it might but I dont know where to look or what i, am looking for. Put the car in the inlaws garage with heat it starts and runs fine.

The engine has a coolant temp sensor and an intake air temp sensor that the computer monitors to control fuel mixture. You would need a scan tool to see what temp the computer is seeing at the time. You also should test the fuel pressure at the time because low fuel pressure will also give those symptoms.
