On my 2001 Bonneville with 387,000 miles, I have developed several electrical problems all at once. They must be related. Bad ground, I am thinking. These all occurred at the same time; The trunk release inside the glovebox quit; The automatic power door locks do not work; All of the interior lights do not work; The 12V charger in the ceiling quit; The left rear brakelight quit. The dinging alarm sysyem dings when it should not, example, I open the car door and close it and the ding ding ding continues. My AC is also weak, but I suspect this is due to a leak and I think I've been using freon. However, I have noticed 2x recently the heater fan will turn on for a few seconds all by itself and then turn off. Please help. Thanks. Mike Ellis

Try making a ground from the engine to the chassy. Clean the wires on the battery. If nothing still works check the fuse box itself. There may be a broken or bare wire making contact with another wire. As far as the brakelight. Check the bulb socket and clean if necessary.
