2001 Pontiac Aztek fuel

The one day the car was running ok and then it won't start that night. Changed the fuel filter and pump but the car will not run, but it wants to start but won't. I feel it might be out of time because it just cranks but I could be wrong but I am no mechanic please help.

What made you decide to replace the fuel pump? Are there and fault code stored in the vehicle's computer? Most auto parts suppliers will scan for codes for free if you can borrow a scan tool or know someone with one.
For no start conditions you need to know if there is spark, fuel, timing is correct, and compression.
