Car making a grinding/rattling noise when my foot is not on the accelorater

Think the noise is coming from the drivers side
Only makes the noise when I'm not accelorating.
The sound gets quieter to a stop as I brake and the car stops ie coming up to a junction

Noises are never easy and almost impossible to diagnose without the physical vehicle. Unless you are able to decribe the noise exactly and source, it would only be guess work which can mean the wrong diagnosis.

You would need someone to look at it physically and locate the source of the noise.
