Quit running at a red light?

The car listed above is an ES model. My son says he pulled up to a red light and his car shut off with no prewarning. He tried to start it back and it wouldn't start. We ended up having to have it towed home. It was driving fine before this so I'm at a loss for what it could be. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,

In most cases, a crank no start condition is the result of either a fuel or ignition-related issue. Here is what I need you to do:

First, see if it will start with starting fluid. If it does or at least tries, we know it is a fuel related issue. If there is no change, suspect an ignition issue. At that point, I need you to check for spark at the plugs.
